Group 2
Group two learned about wheel chairs and how they can help support individuals with disabilities to accomplish every day activities. Students were given the opportunity to test out a few chairs that assist in sports such as basketball. The group was then split down to three groups for Jeopardy with topics that everyone could relate to. To wrap up the activity before moving onto class the students were given the opportunity to communicate what they enjoyed about the recreational piece with out words. Chelsea and Kate, our UNH students, introduced a ball with pictures of what they offered during the sessions. Students enjoyed matching their favorite activity on the ball and sharing it with others. At Nesmith, Lidieth brought our attention over to animals and their habitats. After a discussion about habitats, students were able to make a guess as to what the animal would eat and what kingdom they belonged to.
